    Cross-Cultural Psychology helped me learn a variety of things this semester. When I arrived in this class, I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous and intimidated by the subject. I took a diversity psychology class at a community college, but left with no cultural knowledge. In this course, I learned to appreciate culture. Reflecting on this course, I learned that I had never appreciated the uniqueness of each culture. One of the things I wanted from this course was to look at psychology from a different perspective. I wanted to learn something I had never learned before and challenge my knowledge. This course accomplished that for me. There are a few things I learned that will stay with me for life. One of the things I learned is cross-cultural parenting. I have always been interested in the topic of secure attachment. When I learned about secure attachment, I never bothered to think about it cross-culturally. I learned that there are different ways parents raise their children. Different child-rearing techniques result in different behaviors...
