    According to Teun A.van Dijk in the article Multidisciplinary CDA: A Plea for Diversity (collected by Wodak, R. and Meyer, M. 2001) considers CDA as a perspective criticism, therefore speaking, discourse analysis with an attitude. It focuses on social problems, and in particular on the role of discourse in the production and reproduction of abuses of power or domination. As far as possible, it does so from a perspective compatible with the best interests of the dominated groups. The term critical in CDA is often associated with the study of power relations (Fairclough, 1997). In Language and Power (2001), Fairclough mentions power in speech and power behind speech.
