    Abortion is a very popular trend all over the world, it has been going on since the dawn of time. Many people would agree that abortion is very wrong and unethical. Nearly 700,000 babies have been killed in the United States since 1973. With good lies and planning, all of these babies could have been saved. Abortion is a negative aspect of society, as evidenced by the torture of a life, self-harm, and the message it sends to others. It is undeniable that abortion exists. Approximately 3,700 unborn babies are aborted daily in the United States (Abortion Facts). Hospitals across the country allow women to leave their babies with them if they don't want to keep them. Many families cannot conceive and want to have children. Abortion is somewhat selfish, in that a child could be saved, given up for adoption, or left in the hospital to be placed in a good home. Ending their lives because it’s your “right” is unfair. Abortion sets a bad example for the future of our nation. We know this from research. With a study on attitudes towards abortion among young adults aged eighteen to twenty-one, from the years 1977 to 1993. This study attempted to determine whether court decisions had an effect on opinions on abortion. In response to this study, eighteen-year-olds were mostly pro-choice and twenty-one-year-olds were the least supportive. Men are more supportive of choice than women (Misra and Hohman. 85). Abortion is a very common thing, more common than we would like to believe. Approximately 1.5 million abortions occur each year in the United States, with one in four abortions resulting from unintended pregnancies or pregnancies (Misra and Hohman 85).
