    During the time I lived in Colombia, my parents did not have much, their socio-economic strength and the adverse effect of juvenile delinquency, advancement powerful treatments is of the utmost importance (Tarolla, Wagner, Rabinowitz, & Tubman, 2002). Faced with the sharp rise in crime, it is important to really create programs to prevent the desire to commit a crime from being weak and times from being difficult. My middle-class parents had to adapt many things as their lifestyle changed. I was now forced to go to a very low-level, low-income school. This is where I discovered a whole other world of survival of the fittest. They used most of the money they acquired to pay for a gated condo because my town was very unsafe at the time. Living in the condo I met a lot of kids my age who came from parents with well paying jobs so living among them I wanted their lifestyle, I wanted to be able to go out and spend money whenever I wanted , I wanted to buy nice clothes, I wanted to go to a private school, because that's where all these kids
