Thomas Hardy changed schools very often throughout his childhood. He went to a different school every one to two years. Thomas Hardy was a unique type of poet because most of his writings were primarily tragic writings. All of his writings reflect his personal perception of how things were going in life. Despite his difficult beginnings, his education and his later life, many unique things happened. Hardy was born in Upper Brock Hampton. Mr. Hardy's father was a builder, he loved building and he played the violin in the local church they attended for the local dancers. Hardy's mother was raised in poverty and received only a basic education and encouraged him to pursue the game. Thomas was educated at Stinsford Village School. Hardy only attended the Stinsford village school for one year. Then Hardy went to the Dorchester British School run by a non-conformist society. Hardy left there after a year of spinning there and went to this little business school run by a guy named Issac, his last there to study Latin. Thomas was a very gifted poet.
