After that party, Hannah discovered that Courtney had been spreading rumors about her (Stewart, 2016). The sixth reason for Hannah's death was Marcus Cooley, who was Hannah's Valentine. At school, on Valentine's Day, Hannah had planned their ice cream but he arrived late, and she also explains that she was sexually assaulted by Marcus in the restaurant where they had met for dinner (Stewart, 2016).
