In the Aristotelian era, logos, ethos, pathos, kairos and telos were used to explain rhetorical functions. These rhetorical modes have been used in different ways to describe speeches and plays. I will use these modes to evaluate the film Of Mice and Men, a film about two men who travel together but always seem to get into trouble due to one of the men's lack of common sense and intelligence. Logos mainly refer to the structure and content of the text itself. When working with logos, the meaning and logic of the film itself must come into play. In the film Of Mice and Men, Lenny kept getting into trouble, forcing George to move them. George always knew that Lenny was going to get them into trouble because of all the stunts he pulled and the fact that he constantly forgot important things. At first the theme of the movie was pretty carefree, but then Lenny's story about why they were there was revealed and he started causing trouble again. When he started stirring up trouble again, the film became more disturbing. Finally, George had to kill...
