In describing his daily career, narrator Casi says: “The puppeteer who pulled the strings behind the bench was a puffy pink character on loan from the Bronx. Therefore, De La Pava says the justice system is a big circus that only serves for show. Metaphorically, the author compares the justice system to a circus. He says the justice system is just a big show or a big production. By definition, a circus is "a large public entertainment, usually presented in one or more very large tents or in an outdoor or indoor arena, including displays of pageantry, feats of skill and daring, performances of animals, etc. "Essentially, the legal system is a form of entertainment used to attract attention or amuse an issue, and judges and lawyers are the parade animals. The legal system is intended to evaluate people on the crimes charged and provide justice to the victims. But it has become a high-profile topic where abuses of power occur. Additionally, A Naked Singularity paints a picture of how the system works.
