    Jasmine Nguyen A10074232 Extra Credit Response Paper: Food Inc. The documentary Food, Inc. looks at today's highly enigmatic industrial food system in the United States. Throughout the documentary, he talks about the many environmental and health consequences that arise from cheap, fast food. This documentary also addresses the topic of access to food and how that leads to obesity in many Americans. It explains in detail how American foods are grown and processed, which really surprised me in many ways. Watching this documentary, I learned that the food industry doesn't want you to know the reality of all the foods they sell. ; because of course no one would really eat it. The way the groceries we buy in stores are manipulated by food science shows the evolution of today's diet. Some examples from the film include ripening tomatoes with ethylene gas and re-engineering produce to create a longer shelf life.
