The Higgs boson is a subatomic particle, such that it has zero or no spin and follows the statistical description given by SN Bose and Einstein. The Higgs boson theory was discovered in 1964 by Dr. Peter Higgs who came up with the idea of the Higgs field which keeps everything in balance and prevents electrons from flying everywhere. When the Higgs boson theory was first revealed to other scientists, they all thought Mr. Higgs was crazy because they knew that gravity held everything in its place and electrons couldn't escape. The Higgs boson is what gives other particles their mass, because it combines them together to give them mass, but they are not only given mass, they have to enter the Higgs field. When Peter Higgs first thought of this theory, everyone thought he was just saying things until he found an equation that solved his theory and soon all scientists began to understand what it was, how it worked, what its purpose was. Mr. Higgs was certain that his theory was real and that other particles received their mass from the Higgs field which is made up of the Higgs boson. The Higgs boson was recently discovered in 2012 at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at Cern, Switzerland. The people who searched for and found the Higgs boson were thrilled to have finally proven Mr. Higgs' theory true through all of their hard work. and their dedication to theory, they were rewarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics. Today, the Higgs boson is known as the "god particle" or "the particle that makes up the universe" because of its effects on other particles and the universe. The Higgs boson gives particles their mass after entry. the Higgs field. The Higgs boson does not rotate like all other particles because it does not rotate... middle of paper ...... the Higgs field. We can also thank them for their help with the equations, their motivation to build the LHC, and for helping to discover what we call the Higgs boson. Now, thanks to Peter Higgs and François Englert, the world and many scientists can now understand where particles get their mass, why electrons do not move quickly through the universe, and why we as humans , we can understand the real reason why particles receive their mass. . A huge thank you to the team who helped find the Higgs boson and another huge thank you to Dr. Peter Higgs and his assistant François Englert for coming up with a theory that no one would have believed if anyone else had thought about it. So, thanks to the Swiss team and these two fantastic scientists, we can now say that the Higgs field and the Higgs boson exist and we can now understand where the particles get their mass from..
