Homelessness in Canada is considered with causes and consequences such as substance abuse, mental illness, and media portrayals and representation of the homeless. Nonetheless, its solutions include help from the government and other agencies such as emergency shelters, meal programs, etc. The growth of homelessness across Canada is a current problem that has increased in recent years. Homeless people are people who do not have housing and who, during the night or when looking for food, try to get to specific shelters that are able to provide them with help. . Homelessness is caused by different life situations, such as individuals having difficulty coping with society. Many homeless people may have suffered a loss in society, such as loss of a job, loss of a loved one, they may also suffer from drug and alcohol addictions, which makes them causes them to lose all their money and no longer have any to pay for their basic needs. Some homeless people may even suffer from mental illness and not know how to deal with the world, or simply have been psychologically abused and abandoned by loved ones.
