The lack of evidence raises doubts about the veracity of this study. Although it is easier to change activities, a leader with outdated values and qualities that are poorly linked to customer requirements also leads to disillusioned employees. So it’s not enough to just focus on activities. It is important that we understand the importance of values and qualities and the role they play in making a leader a role model. CONCLUSION The basic fundamental idea of Blue Ocean Leadership is simple: as a manager, see what actions you take and what value they bring to other stakeholders, whether customers (external or internal), colleagues seniors or subordinates. Activities, easier to modify than qualities, can announce to a company a new paradigm of employee engagement. However, until we have more case studies like that of British Retail Group, it will be very difficult to make Blue Ocean Leadership an accepted player.
