Essay / The importance of childhood - 1226
Many children have a childhood, but others do not. I was lucky to have one of the greatest childhoods ever. I remember it perfectly, like a childhood dream. One thing was the feeling of being free to do whatever I want. Obviously there were some restrictions depending on the type of activities I was doing, but in all cases my physical movements were still active. I was one of those kids who loved to run around, get wet, dirty and scream out loud with excitement. I was not only very close to my parents, but also to my two brothers. My mother and I had a very strong bond, we agreed on a lot of things when it came to choosing or deciding something. One thing I want to mention is that my dad was not only a father to me, but he was also my soccer coach since I was about 7 years old. We almost never fight over small occasions, and if we do, we easily resolve the issue with a lot of communication between us. My youngest brother Brian slept in the same room as me. Therefore, I felt responsible for him by showing him right and wrong. My older brother spent very little time at home and even when he was home, he would just go to his room and do whatever he wanted. The person I want to tell, I am also the closest and I have been since when I was a child, I have been my father. The reason is that we spent most of our days together at home and away; for football and for family reunions. We had great communication between us which allowed us to have the strongest bond. My parents and I have a close relationship. When I was a child, our relationship was even better. Wherever they went, they would take us. It made me know my parents well enough to understand their problems...... middle of paper ...... I was a child. Throughout my personal experiences, I have understood that my family plays an important role in shaping me who I am and making me a better person through their help. Many other families need help with their children to be able to educate them well so that they are ready for the real world. Some families may be stricter than others, or others may not care about their child. Working with children will be a great resource to better understand children and guide them on the right path. There are many factors that make each family unique through the study of different families as well as different backgrounds, personal experiences and attitudes that will allow parents to become more aware of their children. Overall, I believe my parents are very supportive by being there for me whenever I need them. I think I'm ready to become a parent.
