Essay / Experience of a Different Nation - 1446
Experience of a Different NationWhen I usually visit any type of historical place, I always think about its context. I'm curious to know what happened years ago in these places, what the people were like and how they survived the hardships of those times. Actually, I am an emotional person, especially when I hear about history, because I feel captivated by the interesting events. In addition, I feel lost by traveling and going back years trying to start from the same experiences. The same thing happened to me before visiting the Boston Tea Party. Being sincere, at first I thought the Tea Party was a simple celebration where well-dressed people went to enjoy a special tea. In my first history classes, I learned more and realized that it was not what my mind had imagined it to be. So, when I was there and looked at its decor, I understood that it was not at all a pleasant place for them. However, this place is the personification of the nation itself. It was snowing when I got my ticket to go to the Boston Tea Party and interestingly enough, the museum was open. This surprised and pleased me, but at the same time I wish I could have been there after two hundred and forty years and two days later of the Tea Party. I was lucky enough to experience more or less the same weather conditions. I've lived in Boston for about four years and was studying downtown, but I never went to visit this place, I just supervised it. In all the time I was spending on it, I hadn't noticed this amazing and spectacular view of the harbor and between the two small bridges is a beautifully decorated boat. Nevertheless, the decorated ship always caught my attention, and I planned to go there one day, but my laziness wouldn't allow me. Finally, I pure...... middle of paper ...... ing even though the film was also loud but my voice was passing over it. And after that we left the cinema hall, everyone had tears in their eyes and shared the feeling of the film. So our guide told us we could go on the boat and see Abigail's Tea Room. As a tea lover, I was very pleased with myself. Tea was free and different blends of freshly brewed tea were waiting for us. Obviously, I didn't like most of these teas; they had a bitter taste for me. I took some photos of the ship with a wonderful view of the harbor. In conclusion, I visited the Museum of Fine Arts, the museums in New York and none of them gave me this feeling of excitement and emotion. It was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had visiting a historical museum. Content by I had and experience of pretending and being a person of different nationality.
