The purpose of this work is to provide a critical analysis of theory in relation to psychological and emotional impact and its application to social work. I will examine the psychological and emotional impacts related to discriminatory and oppressive constructs in order to develop and demonstrate my understanding of social work within a multicultural and diverse society. I chose the internal working model and in this attachment theory as a psychological theory, widely used in social work.
