    The Middle East was a famous historical region where it served as the origin of some religions and societies, for example, Christianity and Islam. These two religions differ in their history, beliefs and customs. They also have a number of additional similarities. In ancient times, Islam and Christianity had conflicts with each other because they could not reasonably interact without one provoking the other's faith. In 610 CE in Islam, God gave his first stated revelation to the Prophet Muhammad in a cave in Hira (differecebetween.net). However, Islam was not founded until 622 CE and it is the first year of the Islamic calendar. 622 CE is also the time when the Prophet Muhammad and his followers began to settle in Medina (differencebetween.net). For Christians, Jesus Christ was born in 1 CE in Bethlehem and at age thirty he began preaching the word of God (differencesbetween.net). Christianity was founded in 30CE. Three decades later, in 33 CE, Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem and Christians believe that he was resurrected three days later and eventually ascended to heaven (different...
