The concept of the Holy Trinity is something that is almost impossible to fully understand. The idea that there can be three people, completely unrelated and yet the same person, is very difficult to understand. A relationship so overflowing with love is one that God Himself could not maintain between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and which had to be shared with the human race. No matter how great God's love is, the human race does not fully reciprocate it. The connection between father, son and Holy Spirit is something that, because of Adam and Eve, has been lost from human reach. However, because of this sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Humanity was able to regain some of the love that had been lost. As I reflect on this mysterious bond within the blessed Trinity, I fail to understand how such love can exist. Although I am Catholic and grew up knowing about the Trinity, I was never able to fully understand the way God shared his love in the Trinity.
