    EE ​​Cummings: A Man of PoetryThe journey of EE Cummings, who was a distinctive American poet, greatly influenced his literary achievements in poetry. This is seen in his early childhood experiences. “Cummings was born Edward Estlin Cummings in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on October 14, 1894” (Ulanov 565). He was born in a rich and creative environment. “Dr. Cummings was a logger, a photographer, an actor, a carpenter, an artist – and talented at everything he did. Mrs. Cummings [however] was a shy woman who overcame conventional influences to respond joyfully and effectively to life”; (Triem 2).
