Many people have different views on life. Some views are good and some are bad. In the novel Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury shows readers that Guy Montag's outlook on life is changed by how others also view the world around him, which helps him understand who he is. Many people Guy Montag meets throughout the story change his outlook on life. Clarisse McClellan teaches Guy Montag many new ways of looking at life, and stepping back to absorb your surroundings and not being so closed-minded is one of the lessons she taught him. Clarisse McClellan is one of the few people in Fahrenheit 451. This isn't brainwashing by the media. Clarisse loves nature and the outdoors, she doesn't just sit around all day watching TV. One day when Clarisse and Guy are outside it starts to rain, she leans her head back and tastes the droplets of water.
