As with any job, there must be a set of rules or code that employees must follow. Journalism is no different. People from all over the world; trust journalists to bring them the news, in the most honest, unbiased and enjoyable way. Given the importance of the job, it's easy to see why there needs to be a code of conduct and ethical considerations for the job. As News Director at Cub Broadcasting, implementing; of the code of conduct and ethical considerations on which this station will operate must be taken into account. It is imperative that this station has a code of conduct, the most valuable asset of a journalist and broadcaster is respect from the public. This respect will only be earned, not freely given, and the only way to earn this respect is to be professional, honest and have integrity. Being professional and having a good audience is what will move our broadcasting company forward and keep it prosperous, thanks to the audience. By trusting our station, we will earn revenue through advertising and increase our audience, making our broadcast a highly rated show in our three respective time slots. Without a code of conduct and ethical considerations, our broadcast society simply will not be able to write, anchor and produce the type of journalism that our peers publish. This is a difficult and highly competitive field and if we are to compete we will need to move forward with professionalism, truth, good morals and journalistic integrity. As the world of journalism changes and evolves over time, the need for a code of ethics between all owners, the public and journalists has emerged.
