Teachers always teach students to communicate their ideas freely and to respect the opinions of others. As long as teachers' public opinions are not debated in the classroom, they should be allowed to express them freely. They can only infringe on these rights if they discuss their opinions in class. In the classroom, controversial issues should be presented fairly and without bias, as it is the teacher's responsibility to ensure that all students feel comfortable in the classroom. Teachers are part of society and they are allowed to contribute to societal change. They should be free to express their opinions on issues, as well as their tastes and attitudes.
