The field of computer science is one of the most rapidly advancing areas of technology today, with new discoveries and research being carried out daily. Computers and their applications are constantly evolving, as we create more efficient ways to transmit electronic information. In a field that is evolving so rapidly, we must remember and continue to study the roots of these advances if we are to understand all the new material being produced. Even though we focus on Western computer scientists, we sometimes forget the contributions that come from the East, particularly Africa. Historically, many African computer scientists have contributed to the advancement of the field of computer science. Until now, we have neglected to appreciate or recognize their contributions, even though we could not be where we are today without them. All discoveries in the field of computing build on a previous discovery, and for this reason, to neglect past contributions or advances is to neglect the future. This is why we must change direction and recognize major advances, such as the Niagara or Logo projects; these two achievements would not have been possible without the influence of African computer scientists. Africa has made key contributions to the field of computer science through its work on the Niagara Project, Logo Computer Systems Inc, The Connection Machine, The South African Computer Science Network and ________. One of the most notable contributions to the field of computer science that comes from Africa is the Niagara Project. The Niagara Project was originally led by Kunle Olukotun, born and raised in Africa, he now works at Stanford University in the United States. The Niagara Project...... middle of article ...... like LCSI are also very important for research, because they aim to better educate our own children; children are our future, so why shouldn't we invest in them. The Connection Machine is extremely important in its computing power and its relationship with cloud computing and parallel processing, which is very important to the computing field because our goal is to make computers work harder and faster. Any research we do in any of the above areas is also rendered inert if we have nowhere to share it and no one to share it with. These issues have been addressed by the South African Computer Science Network, which we can learn from and use to model our own systems. Finally, we must acknowledge __________________your summary here_______. If we want to hope to advance an idea or technological progress, we must
