In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, fate plays an important role in the development of the plot. He does it by bringing people together. Fate also plays a role in the deaths of a few people, including the main characters, Romeo and Juliet. The bringing together of people by fate played a huge role in advancing the plot of Romeo and Juliet. A good example of this is how Romeo's "true love", Rosaline, is sworn to remain chaste for the rest of his life. This makes Romeo more open to dating someone else. Benvolio then tells Romeo to go to a party thrown by the Capulets. This is where Romeo meets Juliet. This is what makes almost all of the following events happen.
