  • Essay / School Uniforms - 2054

Schools should have uniforms for students so that they can be distinguished between grade levels and all students dress the same and provide some protection. Students might be against it because they want to wear regular clothes to impress other students. School uniform should be allowed in private schools as well as public schools as it will help teachers distinguish students and people and avoid inappropriate attire. “Having a uniform helps students and parents resist peer pressure. In schools without uniforms, children may feel the need to dress a certain way to fit in. This can often mean buying a lot of expensive, fashionable clothes that families can't really afford. It can also mean that girls are pressured to wear skimpy clothes to try to look sexy from a young age. Uniforms will be the same shirt, color and even tie if the school allows it. It will also help if they buy the same shoes for all the kids because they might find them on clearance or half price. School clothes can be purchased even in the same... middle of paper ...... understand their parents when it comes to spending money on buying their own clothing. The students may be against it, but that is no longer the case and they must wear what the board members have strictly given them to succeed in their school years.ReferencesBrooks, M. (n.d.).
