Lack of adequate labor is one of the main problems for both organic and non-organic farmers in Bhutan. This may be due to the migration of young people to urban areas to explore other avenues, continue their education and work in the civil service. Out of a total of 36 farmers practicing organic farming, 17 are struggling to find adequate labor, while only 10 farmers who are not practicing organic farming are struggling to find adequate labor. The chi-square test shows that the labor availability problem is more serious for organic farmers (see table 7). Only 13 of 36 farmers found market price discrimination to be an insignificant problem, compared to 23 of 51 non-organic farmers and the chi-square test. Funding is one of the main obstacles for organic farmers as 21 out of 36 consider it a problem, while 15 non-organic consider it a problem, the chi-square test revealed that the problems are significant.
