Until recently, video cameras were not commonplace for the average person, all the footage we have from 9/11 is from a news camera or from a very mediocre personal camera. Nowadays, almost everyone has a smartphone and video recording is at their fingertips. Privacy no longer exists and everything you do can and will be published on the Internet. According to Heimdal Security, “more than 1.6 billion social media users worldwide, with more than 64% of internet users accessing social media services online.” The world of social media is growing every day and a single video can be shared worldwide in just one second. Marcus knows everyone is looking at him and he can't go anywhere without their eyes always looking at him. Marcus says, “The law didn’t care whether you actually did something wrong; they were willing to put you under the microscope just because you were statistically abnormal. The government judged him by his movements and behavior. They constantly checked on him and he was never really alone. In today's world, no one is ever alone. Telephones and computers have made all life a public affair and no one can say or act in private. This shines through with Marcus and his computer, he can hack into anyone and view any message or camera he wants. It can take something you thought was private and make it public. Never
