    Two individuals can be the best of friends, but when one individual is gripped by jealousy of the other, he will do anything in his power to ruin life of the other individual; This is where the dilemma arises. William Shakespeare, the playwright of Othello, tells the story of a highly honored character, Othello, who is the general of the State of Venice. Iago comes across as a very loyal and loyal friend to Othello while his other side is much more ruthless and cruel towards the general. Othello gives Michael Cassio a position as his personal lieutenant, but Iago is very jealous of this situation because he is the one closest to Othello and should acquire the position. Soon, Iago hatches a malicious and wicked plan against the protagonist, Othello. When Othello flees with Desdemona to Cyprus, Iago begins his insinuations with Othello by telling him about Desdemona's intimate relationship with Cassio. Othello becomes envious and suspicious of Desdemona and returns to the castle to kill his innocent wife. He ends up choking him to death and Emilia, Iago's wife, tells Othello the truth. Iago murders Emilia and Othello seriously injures Iago and then commits suicide. Iago, the puppet master, deceives his victims Othello, Cassio, Desdemona and Roderigo by being dishonest and deceptive. Iago manipulates Othello by telling him false lies about his wife and Cassio having an affair which ruins the relationship between Othello and his wife. To Othello, Iago is a loyal, trustworthy and honest friend. Othello always asks Iago for advice because he is closer to him and places all his trust in his faithful friend. Iago lies to Desdemona by telling her that Othello is only upset because of a matter of state, however knowing very well why Othello behaves this way. Iago manipulates Roderigo by telling him to sell all his possessions so that he can woo Desdemona and win her heart; he also takes advantage of Roderigo because Iago knows he is a fool and will do anything for love. Iago, the master puppeteer, misleads his victims Othello, Cassio, Desdemona and Roderigo by lying to them and making them distrust each other.
