Nearly nine out of ten teenagers leave themselves vulnerable to endless health risks simply for staying up later at night. When it comes to mental health risks, lack of sleep triggers a dangerous and potentially life-threatening pattern. Once a teen becomes depressed, anxious, or contemplating harming themselves due to lack of sleep, it is extremely difficult to get them out of that rut. These illnesses that started with lack of sleep will now prevent them from resting. When this happens, their condition continues to deteriorate until it becomes irreversible.
