Essay / Argumentative Essay on Mexican Immigration - 2191
Many people enjoy their burritos, tacos, and dancing to salsa, which originates from Mexican culture. The Voice of Mexico magazine introduces the topic of “Pan de Dulce”, or as everyone calls it the sweet bread, brought by Hispanics during the colonial period. In France, it started in pastries served with coffee and then sold piece by piece. There are many that are identifiable, for example a sweet kiss would be two rolled up loaves of bread with jam in the middle. Over the years it became a competition as you had fresh, authentic sweet breads replaced by store made or ordered breads. The most common tradition is said to be Three Kings Day, during which sweet bread is decorated with dried fruit and gel, representing the journey to see the Baby Jesus. Inside the bread would be an artificial Baby Jesus, and whoever receives the piece with it will have to make tamales for the following days.
