Identity is how an individual is perceived and shows their individuality or association with a group. It can be defined as the unique attribute that belongs to any individual or is shared by people belonging to a specific social or ethnic group. People form their identities by identifying with people who matter to you, like your parents or siblings. Furthermore, individuals might form their identity based on their beliefs or values. Identity is influenced by various things and has changed a lot over time, space and situation. Additionally, race/ethnicity, gender, and disability are of great importance to identity formation. We all know that identity is constructed and rational. The construction of identity involves good or bad, contaminated or uncontaminated, attractive or unattractive, etc. These standards are subject to change even if they seem fixed. People's identities are constructed on the basis of gender, race, caste, class, sexuality, etc. For example, if a person walks down the road wearing a very exposed dress and too much makeup, he or she may be identified by other people. as being trashy or slutty. Identity is subject to change over time. Let's take the example of a person belonging to a lower social class and therefore identified as poor. If the person succeeds later in the future and becomes prominent, their identity changes from poor to rich.
