Essay / Say what? (A response to the surprises of “Shocking...
In the story “Rocking Horse Winner”, a little boy has a rocking horse. It is a toy that is very dear to him. The boy grows up with it his mother always complains about the bad luck she thinks she has. She, without knowing it, affects her son in a very negative way. He makes it his duty to prove his mother that she is wrong. He understands this. some kind of crazy magic, its rocking horse can predict the winners of horse races and tell the boy. Maybe it's actually a rocking unicorn. Its horn is invisible. being that it was surgically removed when the unicorn was turned into plastic and his rainbow colored hair was painted brown he can still use his magical powers and talk to a boy The boy uses his. magic unicorn to make a lot of money Then he dies The moral of this story is that you can never trust a unicorn, especially if it had its horn. They were surgically removed and their hair died. Anyone who dies their hair is obviously being dishonest about their hair color and, therefore, probably other things, and unicorns are no exception. Watch out for the unicorns, guys. Also watch out for pigs, especially when walking around the slums of Naples. “A Shocking Accident” tells the story of a boy whose father is killed by a pig. When you hear that someone has been killed by a pig, the natural reaction is to laugh. However, being killed by pigs is no joke. Imagine a six-hundred-pound beast with razor-sharp tusks. His eyes are bright red. His face is stained with blood from his last meal. Yes, folks, it's a carnivorous pig. It's not funny at all. Unfortunately, this pig is not the one who killed the boy's father. The boy's father was killed by a large pig that fell on his head from a fifth-floor balcony. It's... middle of paper... in a crowded hallway when someone taps you on the shoulder. When you turn around, you see your favorite person in the whole school, the person you just thought of. It's pretty obvious which one of them is more offensive, especially when the people at this school who annoy me greatly outnumber those I enjoy conversing with. In fact, few people bother me. It's just highly unlikely that anyone would want to talk to me in the hallway, but enough of my idiotic complaints. The ending of “A Shocking Accident” was significantly more shocking than the ending of “The Rocking Horse Winner”. That says a lot about literature. You simply shouldn't expect a happy ending when reading the kind of literature presented in our textbooks. It's a shame. Happy things make me happy. Sad things make me sad. It's quite strange that it happens like this.
