Essay / An Inside Look at Hitler's Utopia - 1495
Utopia: an imaginary place in which the government, laws, and social conditions are perfect. In other words, utopian societies are impossible to achieve; however, Hitler did not believe it. During the Nazi regime, in Hitler's attempt to create a utopian society, catastrophic events occurred. Nazi ideology was the key factor in the creation of Hitler's utopian society. Many concepts of Nazi ideology come from Hitler's novel Mein Kampf (My Struggle), a novel written by Hitler while he was in prison. “This book sets out his beliefs and his goals for Germany.” Hitler believed that the “Germans whom he wrongly called “Aryans” were a “master race.” Hitler considered anyone who was not of the Aryan race to be inferior. “‘Races’ such as Jews, Slavs and Gypsies were inferior (Beck, p.912). » Several concepts were linked to the idea of racial composition and “Survival of the fittest”. Hitler states in chapter 11 of Mein Kampf, titled “On Nation and Race,” “The rule of nature: the internal segregation of the species of all living beings on this earth (Hitler, ¶ 2).” Hitler suggested that God's rule was that there must be an internal (genetic) separation (constitution) of everything that lives on earth. “The strongest must dominate and not mix with the weakest, thus sacrificing their own greatness (Hitler, ¶ 6). » "Maintaining racial purity was important according to Hitler and others, because mixing with other races would over time lead to the bastardization and degeneration of a race to the point where it would list its characteristics distinctive and, in fact, would lose the ability to defend itself effectively thus becoming doomed to extinction (Victim, ¶ 12). .....es Holocaust Memorial Museum. “Victims of the Nazi Era: Nazi Racial Ideology.” United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
