  • Essay / Every body is beautiful inside - 658

There are many different views of skeletons, and they can be considered grotesque or beautiful. Most people would perceive skeletons as scary or ugly and relate them to death. However, people like scientists, doctors, and those who wear skeletons for fashion would perceive skeletons as beautiful. Skeletons are commonly used in different cultures during holiday celebrations. Skeletons are used in American and Hispanic culture for both ugly and beautiful purposes. In American culture, skeletons are displayed for Halloween and intended to serve as decorations. In Hispanic culture, people who celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) view skeletons and death as part of the cycle of life. Every year, from October 31 to November 2, Día de los Muertos takes place to remember loved ones who have passed away and celebrate the lives they lived. From the skeleton's face painting to the decorations, flowers, music, food, games, and candies, like sugar skulls, the entire celebration is considered beautiful by this culture. Although people usually refer to skeletons as grotesque, they can be beautiful at the same time. There are many types of people who share a love for human anatomy. An archaeologist who discovers fossils and collects bones may find the skeleton magnificent, as may a doctor who aspires to become a chiropractor. Even I find the skeleton a work of art. In high school, my anatomy and physiology class was one of my favorite classes because I found the bones of the body very interesting. The fact that every bone in the body has a specific name, function and structure is truly amazing. A person who does not find the human body intriguing or that skeletons are just a pile of bones may think that... in the middle of a sheet of paper... often between different people, so even if the skeletons can bring joy and are beautiful to some people, they can be ugly and grotesque to others. Skeletons are considered beautiful when they celebrate their lives in ceremony, discover the intriguing structure of the skeleton that makes up each being, and when they are represented by a piece of fashion. Whether a skeleton belongs to an insect or a human, each skeleton is a beautiful part of the life cycle. Works Cited “A Rich History.” - Día De Los Muertos, Joyful Remembrance of the Departed. Ed.
