    Psychopathy can change a person's thoughts in many ways and is not easy to change. People affected by this disorder usually do not suffer. Normally, psychopathy begins to develop in late childhood to early adolescence. There are many characteristics that cause people to become psychopaths. There are also many other disorders that share violent and antisocial traits. Psychopaths don't feel much empathy. The minds of psychopaths are complex and difficult to change. There are many behaviors during childhood and they usually begin shortly after this period of life. Some behaviors involve things considered criminal behavior, such as starting fires, truancy, theft, animal abuse, and physical abuse of other children. Others are not as criminal as bedwetting and emotional aggression towards children. However, treatment is difficult, treatment during childhood or during the development of the disorder modifies certain characteristics, "early indications suggest that such programs may help reduce the severity of delinquency after release" (Hare, Neumann, 2009, p. 798). Childhood actions can lead to many things and specific behavior can contribute to the development of psychopathy. Many other childhood factors can contribute to the development of psychopathy. How one is disciplined can be greatly involved in the development of psychopathy. Psychopathy can be the result of a lack of discipline or harsh discipline. Other common factors may be parental poverty, discrimination and unemployment. However, psychopathy is not just a matter of culture, but is an obvious factor in many ways. Many different characteristics define a psychopath. A common characteristic of psychopathy is impulsivity.
