BiographyAmerican artist Andy Warhol was one of the most influential artists of the late 20th century, during the pop art movement. One of his artworks is called Details of Renaissance Paintings (Sandro Botticelli, Birth of Venus, 1482), made in 1984 and currently located at the Andy Warhol Museum in his hometown. For all his works of art (engraving, painting, cinema, photography), Warhol gives a whole new perspective and a new meaning to society, giving a “personality” to his work. I believe this to be true because regardless of the celebrity object or icon, Warhol gave that chance to everyone and everything that was “popular”. His birth name was Andrew Warhola Jr., which he later changed to Andy Warhol shortly after moving to New York. . He was born on August 6, 1928 and raised in his hometown of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He died at the age of 58, after surgery in New York. His parents were Julia and Ondrej Warhola, who immigrated to the United States in 1914 from Slovakia after the death of their parents. Being the youngest of three siblings, he grew up in a different lifestyle than his siblings. At age six, Andy was diagnosed with Sydenham's chorea, where he was confined to bed for several months, but he was amused by his mother's artistic skills, teaching him to draw, trace and print pictures. He also collected photos of celebrities and listened to the radio. By the time he was 14, Andy's father had died. Devastated, he did not attend his father's funeral, but his father saw great talents in Andy's artistic abilities.
