    I don't always think I work well, always under pressure, as I tend to make mistakes easily and feel anxious. But on the other hand, my motivation to do the work is high. Either way, the work may not be done at the most comfortable pace. Emotional Awareness Empathy Someone who has compassion, recognizes the emotions of others, and is able to connect with them on an emotional level describes empathy. An emotional response impacts thinking (Wang, Wilhite, Wyatt, Young, & Bloemker, 2012). I try to put aside my own point of view and try to see things from someone else's point of view. When I'm frustrated or upset, I try to understand why I'm having these feelings, examine my own attitude and body language, and ask questions. ReflectionIt is possible for people to become more emotionally competent. I understand why it is important to learn or be trained in the principles of developing emotional competence. It's important to understand what makes people excel and develop positive, healthy working relationships. To work in the helping profession, it is important that you are able to interact and communicate effectively.
