Essay / A Look at Global Warming - 904
Discuss the evidence that global warming is occurring and is caused by human activity. Human activities have modified the structure of the Earth after having existed there. The beautiful atmosphere of the Earth is losing its beauty due to human development activities. Global warming is an alarming concern across the world today. Global warming and its causes are one of the most debated issues today. Global warming refers to the increase in average global temperatures that causes climate change. Rising global temperatures have led to changes in weather and climate patterns. Human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, rising global temperatures, declining Arctic sea ice, and ocean acidification make it clear that global warming is happening and will is caused by human activities. Burning fossil fuels produces more carbon dioxide than is needed. necessary in the atmosphere, affecting the natural carbon cycle, although greenhouse gases are natural cyclical phenomena. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous are natural gases. Burning fossil fuels will convert carbon into carbon dioxide. Human activities burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas are causing the largest increase in global temperature. These gases are produced by industries and machines that man uses for his development activities. The Earth's atmosphere is made up of a layer of gas. These gases have the function of filtering the harmful rays of the sun and radiating excess heat produced by the sun's rays. This natural phenomenon of filtering harmful rays and radiating excess heat occurs under normal atmospheric conditions. However, the earth's atmosphere is polluted by toxic gases like carbon dioxide, sulfur...... middle of paper ...... studies have proven that human activities are the main cause of global warming .References taken from http://www. biomassenergycentre.org.uk/portal/page?_pageid=76.539186&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL:BIOMASSCentreNatural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) http://www.nrdc.org/energy/default.aspOcean Acidification:Shah,A. ,http http://www.globalissues.org/article/233/climate-change-and-global-warming-introduction#WhatistheGreenhouseEffectKinver,M,.(2011) BBC News Science and environment: climate change.
