Essay / Essay Take Time to Reflect - 1504
What major choices did you struggle with during your teenage years? When I was a teenager, my struggle was to break the cycle and be different. I'm the youngest of four girls, so I didn't want to make my sisters' mistakes or repeat something they did, because I already knew the outcome. For example, when my sister got pregnant at eighteen and I at fourteen, I watched her struggle and try to take care of my nephew. Plus, I saw how my mother reacted to the news. She wasn't happy and didn't tell anyone until my sister started showing up. I learned from my sisters' experiences, so I avoid doing the things I saw them do.2. How do you think your teenage years affected the person you are today? My teenage years have affected the person I am now, because I prefer to do things where I can predict the outcome. In other words, if I think something will affect me positively, I'll try it and see if it's something I enjoy. However, if I think something will affect me negatively, I won't try it. My teenage experiences have affected me today because they make me question my decisions and the outcome or consequences if I do bad things.
