God made a covenant (also known as a promise) with Noah and it was the first great promise in the Bible. These chapters show that relationships are extremely important to human life. “Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become flesh. » (Genesis 2:24 NIV). This verse indicates that marriage is between a man and a woman and that they should become one and act as one. God places great value on human relationships and assures us that this is how we should live.
