    Education has become big business in the world today, as people travel far and beyond for the opportunity to further their education . Our education systems have become so competitive that students from Kenya and Uganda can today join any university or higher education institution in the world. But there were many challenges to overcome at this level. Uganda gained independence in 1962 and is home to one of the oldest universities in Africa. Makelele University was established in 1922. It is a prestigious university that aims to provide innovative teaching, research, learning and other upcoming services meeting national and global needs. The Ugandan education system has been structured in such a way that one spends 7 years in primary school, then continues for 6 years in secondary school (which is divided into 4 years in lower secondary school and the 2 years remaining in upper secondary education). . Post-secondary education lasts 3 to 5 years, which can be taken at tertiary or university level respectively. The system has existed since the early 1960s. In Uganda, approximately 60,000 to 70,000 students who leave secondary school qualify for university and tertiary education, of whom 35% manage to find a place in a limited number of establishments.
