The nature versus nurture argument as it relates to homosexuality is a topic of intense debate. Those who are for, in this case the side of nature will be addressed in 'for the argument', fiercely defend their reasoning and they seem to be much more numerous. Those who oppose it, in this case the education side will be addressed in “against the argument”, also defend their reasoning with ferocity, but they are significantly fewer in number. This article will discuss both sides of the argument, citing peer-reviewed journals/articles and discussing the evidence used to support each side. In each case, the evidence will be discussed in depth and in the conclusion, the evidence will be summarized and my opinion will be stated in the conclusion. As noted in many other articles on this topic, the purpose of this article is not to prove whether homosexuality is good or bad, but to establish a thorough and unbiased understanding of the biological and/or social source of homosexuality. Genetic factors began to be taken into account in the 1940s. Since then, numerous studies have attempted to prove the genetic predisposition to homosexuality.
