The bill officially known as US House Bill 3765 - 112th Congress and informally titled "Continuing Temporary Payroll Tax Reduction Act of 2011" was passed primarily with the aim of continuing the reduction of social security contributions until February. of 2011. Before its passage, there was much debate as to whether or not the prosecution was appropriate and, if so, for how long? The claim that the extension should be passed before the Christmas break was met with opposition, but the bill passed successfully. The following will explore the essential aspects of this bill and how it has been implemented into U.S. law by our representative bodies. First, it is important to explore what this legislation addresses and its proposals. This passed bill was authored by David Camp of Michigan's 4th District. The bill itself is 14 pages long and extremely concise. It contains five main objectives: “Temporary relief of social charges”, “Temporary extension of unemployment compensation provisions”, “Temporary extensions of health provisions”, “Mortgage fees and premiums” and finally “Other provisions” ( H.R. 3765 - 112th Congress, 2011). The first section of the bill has received the most publicity in the press and appears to be the most important aspect to many Americans. It amends the "Unemployment Insurance Tax Relief and Reauthorization Act of 2010." It first addresses the reduction of taxes on self-employed workers until 2012. It also provides for the reduction of taxes on employment of employees until February 29, 2012. The bill concludes this section by stating that these changes should be considered to have been included in the original law. Invoice.
