  • Essay / China – A powerful and emerging nation – 2623

Napoleon once warned: “China is a sleeping giant. Let her sleep, because when she wakes up, she will shake the world. » The United States of America has been the superpower for the last two centuries and still is. But after the 2008 Beijing Olympics and even a few years before the event, the world recognized China as a powerful, emerging nation trying to catch up with America. Obviously, China is on the rise and no one can deny this fact because news channels and online news sites are constantly discussing issues regarding China, which is becoming the largest emerging power in the world. it is important to be aware of the factors that have made China a leading power and also to examine what is holding it back as it strives to become the most modernized and powerful nation. Historically, Chinese students have been studying in America for over 150 years. years and they played a subtle role in the construction of modern China and America. In the past, many historians have researched and studied mainly on Chinese immigrants to America, but not much on Chinese students, because they were generally classified in the same category as immigrants. From this research, I learned that Chinese students who studied in America have made important contributions to the acceptance of modern American ideals and that more and more of them want to study in America. Thanks to Chinese students receiving education from the current superpower, America, China is now emerging as the next superpower. My research on Chinese students spans the period from 1847 to 2008. In this article, I will first briefly discuss the history of Chinese students studying abroad in America, as many believe it began at the end of the 20th century. I will also look at how and why China started...... middle of paper ...... in order to attract more students to return to China, the government should provide better facilities and better jobs , as well as Chinese society should provide a better social environment. According to a report by the People's Daily, China ranks first in the world in terms of the number of people studying abroad. Looking at the trend, this number will continue to grow and will have a positive impact on China becoming a leading superpower. American-based education will be the incentive that propels them to success in the global economy. Additionally, because international education exposes students to other cultures, studying abroad in America will prepare Chinese students to be equipped to work on a global scale. The near future of China-US relations is very predictable and deserves close attention. Currently, whatever happens to these two countries, it will certainly shake the planet..
