  • Essay / Pros and Cons of the Communist Manifesto - 1770

When it comes to belief systems, many ideas, if challenged, tend to provoke violent defensive reactions from their believers. The “Communist Manifesto,” written by Karl Marx, has become one of the most influential and significant political propaganda texts ever written in the world. Karl Marx wrote this work in the mid-19th century, a pivotal time in human history. “The Communist Manifesto” begins with a theory of world history based on class struggles and provides an explanation of the abuses committed against the working class by the bourgeoisie. The evils perpetrated against the working class, the proletariat are enumerated and the injustice of the capitalist economic system, by which a few become rich thanks to the labor of many, is highlighted. Marx's work highlights the virtues of communism. He anticipates and refutes the objections of the bourgeoisie and demonstrates the benefits that all can derive from communism. His works largely deal with contemporary social movements, the shortcomings of which are outlined. Throughout the manifesto, workers around the world are called to unite and get rid of the oppression of bourgeois capitalist society, so that after the proletarian revolution, a new society based on economic, social equality and policy can be constructed. Just as feudalism evolved into mercantilism and then into capitalism, capitalism would inevitably give way to its logical successor, socialism, as a necessary result of class struggle. Karl Marx was not quite the heroic figure he surely dreamed of. His hollow vision was built on numerous fallacious errors that supported his ideas and logic, which deceived many proletariats. Nevertheless, many people dream of a fairer and kinder world, which is supposedly inevitable. This is why many have been attracted to this ideal of communism throughout the years of history. History does not, however, lead inexorably to a stateless, classless communist society. The truth is that communism is inevitably dead from the start..
