    Macbeth, 1605 drama, directed by Will O'Hare and written by William Shakespeare (who wrote thirty-seven plays and one hundred and fifty-four sonnets to his time) with Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, The Three Witches, Banquo, King Duncan, Macduff and Malcolm. Macbeth is based on real events that occurred in the 11th century in two countries known as Scotland and England. Macbeth plays a vicious role in this thrilling play to seek power to satisfy his inner desire by killing his own group of people to fulfill the prophecy told by the wicked witches. Macbeth soon discovers that violence leads to more violence and soon the others fear that the prophecy has come true and that it is now time to abandon his throne. In this play, Macbeth overcomes several obstacles, but they ultimately lead him to destruction. Macbeth is loosely based on real events that occurred before the play was written. The real Macbeth ruled Scotland from 1040 to 1057. Macbeth overthrew Duncan and after his death Macbeth was elected king of Scotland and soon Malcolm (Duncan's son) became king because Macbeth could not understand that he was a leader. This drama is considered one of the greatest tragic plays written by Shakespeare. Macbeth, who fought in a victorious battle between Scotland and Norway, confronts three witches; the witches predict that he will one day become king. In order to fulfill the prophecy, he hatches a plan to kill Duncan; the former king. His wife, Lady Macbeth, agrees to the plan and they both murder Duncan in his sleep and blame the cruel murder on Duncan's chamberlains. The crown is then passed to Macbeth. Macbeth kills several other people to pursue the prophecy and the ghost of Ban...... middle of paper ......h this splendid play has been praised. Macbeth delivers the message that violence is not the only way to solve your problems. If one starts resorting to violence to get what one wants, it will be difficult to stop such a thing. This play conveys this message in a wonderful way by using real events as an example to change one's destiny, which is truly satisfying. This play is far from a perfect production, it is both enjoyable and exciting. This piece will dazzle you but it will not move you. Macbeth was a play that touched the minds of the audience; it was a dramatic and emotional piece that made people think about what is happening and what other people are going through. Will O'Hare did a very good job of setting everything up, getting the actors on track and creating a well-entertaining play for the audience. It's truly an awesome, amazing, amazing piece that everyone should watch.
