Susan B. Anthony believed that women should have the same rights as men. While there, Anthony campaigned for all colleges to open their doors to everyone, regardless of race or gender. Thanks to Anthony, women began to frequent civil disobedience. Civil disobedience is “the refusal to obey certain laws or government requirements for the purpose of influencing legislation or government policy, characterized by the employment of nonviolent techniques such as boycotting, picketing, and non-payment taxes” (Civil Disobedience). ).
