From the moment a child is born, a kind of social conditioning begins. The child, whether boy or girl, will eventually learn many different sets of behaviors and how they should act. A boy learns things like sports, how to be complete and independent. He is also taught to be strong; for example, when you are hurt, don't cry, because society expects boys not to cry. Boys are also taught not to show their emotions in any way and not to show anyone how they feel or to give the wrong answer if asked how they feel. Boys are taught that this is the male role, and since this is how boys are supposed to act, this is the only way boys should act. Apparently, this is how boys become men. Girls, on the other hand, learn many different behaviors. They are taught to run the house and to cooperate with and please others. Girls are also taught to be gentle; if someone falls, you are expected to comfort them and make them feel better. Girls are also expected to be emotional because it is part of their nature. Girls are taught that this is what is expected of a girl and that this is the only way to act. If there is some kind of mismatch between what a person wants and what society expects of them, difficulties may arise. If there is only a minor or minimal mismatch, society may accept that particular person and be able to deal with it reasonably well. If there is a major or significant mismatch between what the person wants to do or act and what society expects, then society may not accept that person and there may be serious emotional trauma. Typically, people who don't act as society expects them to, it's almost always a big or major difference or problem. Some things that are not expected in society but happen middle of paper......, even though they have been taught to suppress them. A boy can take the best of what the world calls feminine and include it in his life and still remain a man. If everyone in the world was raised equally, we would see that everyone would have the same basic abilities. There would be differences that simply would not change, but we would be almost the same as today. If this were true, we wouldn't hear about groups of people being discriminated against, and people wouldn't judge by gender or group, but by the ability and talent of each individual. It's not as out of reach as you think, every achievement was once a dream. If more parents raised their children during childhood without imposing any social boundaries regarding gender, anything could happen. Society will not change overnight, but it is clear that with everyone's help, it can change.
