The Impact of Online EducationDoes Technology Help or Hurt Learning? Technology is evolving every day and will soon occupy an important place in daily life. The change in teaching students in online classes is very different from what they are used to and will take some getting used to. Technology in education has disadvantages, advantages, opportunities and challenges. The role teachers play today will change in the future when there is an increasing demand for the use of technology. There is a big change in the way students learn with this new online learning. Technology is dramatically changing student learning. Some methods are positive and others negative, but in both cases the impact is significant on the way students learn. Sometimes it just depends on the student's way of learning. These kinds of students should have the choice of what they prefer to use: a book or a computer. Students need to be able to decide what type of learning they want to do to help them learn. Students need to know how they learn best. Each person must discover the best way to learn in order to improve. Find out the best way they learn so that it can benefit them in life. Online learning has many benefits and affects the way people can learn. According to “Effects of Technology on Classrooms and Students,” “students are more willing to write or work on their computer skills.” “They say students like the immediate results of online learning.” Another advantage is that students can learn at their own pace. By learning at their own pace, they will be able to know the information well. If they're in a regular classroom, they can't...in the middle of a classroom. Sometimes there are people for whom this would not help them learn because they need face-to-face learning. This is simply how they learn that it might or might not benefit them. It should be up to the students to choose whether they want to use the old fashioned pen and paper or this new technology.
