As Plato once said: “I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but more importantly, music, because the models of music and all the arts are the keys to learning. » Music has been a part of learning since children could hear the melodies their mothers sang to them when they were children. Music has always been a valuable source of education because it inspires human beings to be physically, emotionally, and cognitively active as children. everyone learned to sing our ABCs for reading and writing. Music can help children transfer knowledge across all subjects at school; for example, a child who plays an instrument has a better understanding of mathematics because of the rhythms he/she uses. Does music therapy help students with emotional and behavioral disorders? If so, can music therapy provide useful strategies for children with emotional and behavioral disorders to help them in the classroom environment? ' insight to implement these valuable techniques into their teaching classes? With these ideas in mind, I will explore how music therapy can help a child with emotional and behavioral disorders. I want to explore the benefits of music therapy through a meta-analysis of previous research, explain the different types of behavioral disorders a teacher may witness in their classroom, and how general and special education teachers can make a difference in the lives of students with assistance in integrating music into the classroom.
