Pursuit of Happiness: Narrative EssayThe film Pursuit of Happiness shows how a person became homeless, and then ultimately how they survived. Then, become a multi-millionaire. Even though he experienced how difficult life can be, he still pursued his goals in his son's life. This film shows how a homeless person stands up and strives to succeed. Throughout the film, the filmmakers showed how a family struggles in their daily lives. An example from the film is when Linda, Chris's girlfriend and Christopher's mother, decided to leave San Francisco and go to New York for a better job. This scene shows how difficult their situation is and that Linda would leave her family to seek a better life. Throughout the film, it also shows how a husband and wife fought over money issues. Chris and his family live in San Francisco where his son goes to a school where they can't even spell the word happiness correctly. In this place, they spell happiness as “Happiness” instead of the letter “i”. There's this scene where Chris is talking to his son's teacher because of how the teacher let the kids watch a TV show called "Bonanza and Love Boats." Chris then tried to talk to the teacher, as it was not appropriate for him to watch television during school hours. But the professor says it's for history. The lady says it's naval history, but Chris tells her they pay them $150 a month. The teacher responded by saying that they were paying her son's school fees late. Chris complains about it, but the lady said she also complains about them paying their son's school fees late. Why did Chris put his son in a school where I think all their students are Asian middle of paper...... they are in a year where dinosaurs are alive. Then his son follows him and Chris says they need to find a cave so the dinosaurs don't get them. While searching for a cave, they end up in the subway station toilets and spend the night there. I would say that this scene is one of the turning points of the film because it shows how very strong the relationship between a father and his son is. Even if they encounter problems. To conclude, I think this movie is a good example to show how a homeless person lived and how they survived their homeless life. Throughout his life, he showed what determination can do, even if there are obstacles in the way. Taking action is the best way to pay for your difficulties. So while dreaming big, be determined about what you are trying to do and be responsible for the things that will make you successful in the future..
